Gali = Water
Gali, painted in Summer of 2021, is an artistic representation of the reciprocal relationship between people and country, particular water country. As strong Gamialroi women, our connection to water is more of a responsibility, and is something that is particularly pertinent at the moment with some of our important wetlands and waterways being threatened. This artwork is a celebration, imagining communities of people coming together to elevate the importance of our rivers, streams, creeks, lagoons, wetlands and oceans.
